To create a community in which elders are treasured individuals worthy of honor, respect and encouragement.
To honor, encourage, and inspire elders and their families by preserving their legacies and connecting us across the generations.
I have a special interest in preserving the stories of those who are oldest among us. As the child of older parents and going to work with my mother from a very young age—she was a nursing home nurse—I literally grew up at the feet of older adults. Becoming a volunteer and then a home health aide seemed natural steps because I simply love hanging out with "my people." Spending time with the elderly taught me that it's never too old to stop dreaming and planning, even as our bodies go through their expected changes. I consider it an honor to listen to the stories of others whose long life experiences fascinate, surprise, and inspire me.
I obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Communication from the State University College at Buffalo and went on to co-own a public relations and technical writing firm in Buffalo, NY before moving to Durham, NC. I have enjoyed designing creative solutions to communication problems for all types of organizations throughout the years and am thrilled to be back to my roots, listening to the stories of people everywhere and creating books that honor and encourage individuals and families for generations.
Everyone's life is a story worth telling, and I am eager to tell the inspiring stories of adults everywhere. Let me help you write a legacy of cheerful words to encourage you today and inspire others tomorrow.
